Duvlinia
Friday, September 22nd, 2006I’ve moved up to Dublin, and am about to start some contract work (c# - yck). Unfortunately Smart Telecom are seriously taking their time to install BroadBand… (maybe I should have chosen Eircom after all ??!) It’s been three weeks already and there is still unspecified technical difficulties with the exchange (in Temple Bar in the heart of Dublin). The guy on the phone warned me that it could be another six weeks.
I thought about DigiWeb’s metro service but was put off as they had to install an outdoors receiver, and I’m in rented accomodation on the bottom floor on an inside courtyard.
In related news, contrary to what it says on a few blogs, the Chester Beatty library does not provide free wireless access, although it is a wonderful, free library with lots of religious texts and oriental manuscripts.
